SIXTEEN YEAR OLD CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER IN BARNES STABBING INVESTIGATION

A teenager has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing at Barnes last week.
Following his arrest yesterday morning, the 16-year-old boy from Clacton-on-Sea, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with one count of attempted murder and one count of possession of an offensive weapon.
He has been remanded into custody and is due to appear at Highbury magistrates court today (saturday).
Just after 7am on Thursday 26 September, officers and paramedics were called to Barnes railway station following reports of a stabbing.
A man in his 20’s was taken to hospital with injuries consistent with being stabbed and has since been discharged.
