TEDDINGTON LOTTERY SUPPORTS NEW SATURDAY MORNING MARKET

The local community lottery TEDDINGTON LOTTERY is supporting the new Saturday morning market at the car park of the King’s Head pub in the High Street.

The lottery’s distinctive branding will appear on posters advertising the launch of Ted’s Market on Saturday October 26 as well as tote bags which will be given away to the first 100 customers.

It is anticipated that initially about six traders will have stalls in the car park offering bread and pastries, pies, homemade soups, cheese, fruit and vegetables as meat.

Ted’s Market operator Jack Pass, said: “We are thrilled to be partnering the Teddington Lottery which has done so much to support the local community over the last few years and I hope we can become an established part of this fantastic community as well.”

The community lottery was launched just before the pandemic with the aim of supporting any charities and Good Causes in the area when fund-raising was challenging.

The big difference between the local Teddington Lottery and other well-known lotteries is that players can choose their own Good Causes when they buy their tickets – which cost just £1 – for the weekly Saturday draw.

It’s simple to play the Teddington Lottery which can be found at www.teddingtonlottery.co.uk, where there is a comprehensive list of local community Good Causes such as local schools, sports clubs, local theatres as well as charities which you can select from or add your own.

There is a chance to win a massive jackpot of £25.000 which has been won by Hampton Hill Theatre as well as other cash prizes of £2000, £250, £25 and three free tickets for the next Saturday’s draw.

From every £1 ticket you purchase 60p goes directly to local Good Causes in Teddington and across the Borough.

Since launch the local lottery has raised over £111,000 for local causes and given out £46.000 in cash prizes. If a charity, sports group or a school can sell just 50 tickets a week through its network of supporters it will raise £1300 every year.
