BREAKING NEWS: POLICE HUNT GUNMAN AFTER DRIVE-BY SHOOTING IN HAMPTON

Police are hunting a mystery gunman after an early hours drive-by shooting in Hampton, it was confirmed today.
A forensic team was on the scene in Linden Road this morning marking spots where the remnants of several bullet casings were found and a police officer stood guard outside of a terraced house which had also been damaged.
Witnesses claimed that an automatic weapon was used to spray bullets into the property causing damage to windows and the front door.
No-one was injured and no arrests have been made so far.
The road was still closed at 11am this morning and cordoned off by red police tape as the forensic bagged up pieces of evidence found in the middle of the narrow road.

Specialist armed officers from the Metropolitan Police’s SO15 were dispatched to the scene shortly after 3am quickly securing the property and surrounding area.
A statement from the Metropolitan Police issued to Teddington Town said: “Police were called at 02:19hrs on Thursday, 31 October to reports of shots fired in Hampton.
“Officers attended. At the scene a number of shots had been fired on Linden Road.
“There were no signs of any injured parties or suspects at the scene.
“A vehicle and a residential property were found to have sustained damage.
“There have been no arrests at this early stage. An investigation is underway.”
