Yet another seal was amongst the weekend visitors to Twickenham – on top of over 80.000 who turned up at The Allianz Stadium to watch England v Australia!

Eagle-eyed photographer and film-maker Captain Quack wrote on X (formerly twitter) “The Twickenham seal is back in our local waters.

“The large grey seal was fishing in front of Radnor Gardens for hi lunch today. Now heading upstream to Teddington.”

There were no reported sightings near Teddington Lock today although one workman working on the upgrading of the bridge, look astonished when he was asked: “Have you seen a seal today?”

He said: “What are you talking about!”

The last sighting of a seal at Teddington Lock was at the end of September. The increasing number of sightings has prompted the mounting of signage to advise people how to behave near seals.
