BUSHY PARK PLAYGROUND AND WOODLAND GARDENS CLOSED
The Royal Parks have announced that the Woodland Gardens, Water Gardens and the playground in Bushy Park will be closed this weekend because of predicted high winds from Storm Bert.
The cafe in the Diana Fountain car park and The Pheasantry cafes will be open as usual and the 5km parkrun will take place as usual at 9am this morning.
The closed areas are expected to open again on Monday morning.
Richmond Park is also impacted with the closures of Pembroke Lodge Gardens, the Isabella Plantation, Roehampton/Robin Hood/Kingston Gate Gardens, Sidmouth Driftway, Prince Charles Spinney, Two Storm Wood and the Platinum Jubilee Woodland in Richmond Park.
The Bushy parkrun also issued the following statement.
”Just to let people know the Royal Parks will be closing the Woodland Gardens, Water Gardens and the children’s playground all weekend due to the forecast high wind gusts.
“Bushy parkrun will be on as normal. Please be mindful of adverse weather conditions.”
