TEDDINGTON ROAD WILL BE CLOSED OVERNIGHT FOR RESURFACING

Signage warns of road closure and resurfacing in Park Road, Teddington
Heavy machinery is parked up in readiness for start of work

One of the worst pothole-hit roads in Teddington will be closed overnight early next for urgent resurfacing work, it was confirmed today.

Park Road which runs from Teddington past the old police station, the Adelaide pub towards the entrance of Bushy Park and Kingston is a hazard to motorists and cyclists.

The road is one of the busiest local routes and used by dozens of buses every day, causing the road surface to crack in several areas and temporary repairs have failed to solve the issue.

Park Road will be closed from 8pm until 5am on Monday and Tuesday nights and temporary traffic lights will be installed.

Delays maybe possible, the signs warn.
