URGENT LOCAL WEATHER UPDATE

Woodland Gardens and playground in Bushy Park were closed today
The ice rink at Hampton Court Palace was closed today (sat) because of high winds

 

All of the Royal Parks will be FULLY closed tomorrow (Sunday) because of the worsening weather and high winds, caused by Storm Bert, it was announced tonight (sat)

This blanket closure applies to both Bushy Park and Richmond Park which were both impacted today.

The latest announcement from The Royal Parks, which has overall responsibility for Bushy and Richmond Parks also applies to ALL cafes, kiosks, cafes, park roads and cycle routes.

A spokesperson said: “Due to severe wind gusts caused by #StormBert, all of the Royal Parks will be closed on Sunday 24 November.

“This includes all cafes, kiosks, park roads & cycleways.

“All parks will be subject to a delayed opening on Monday following a safety inspection of the relevant park.”

The ice rink at Hampton Court Palace, which only opened yesterday (Friday) was also closed today because of the high winds.
