BUSHY PARK REOPENS UNDER BLUE SKIES
Bushy Park was fully reopened today (Monday) following the high winds of Storm Bert which forced its closure yesterday.
Dog walkers and cyclists enjoyed the calmer conditions under blue skies and a light breeze and the car park at the Pheasantry cafe was half full by 10.30am.
Despite the high winds no significant storm damage was reported although branches along Chestnut Avenue had been ripped from the trees.
Parks staff made an early morning safety inspection to ensure it was safe to reopen the gates to visitors at 8.30am.
