SANTA SPOTTO NEAR HIS GROTTO IN TEDDINGTON

Photo Special on Teddington Lights Up!

Last minute preparations were being made today for tonight’s annual Teddington Lights Up! celebrations, sponsored by The Teddington Lottery (www.teddingtonlottery.co.uk)

Santa’s Grotto was set up outside King’s Head pub with tables and chairs and an outside bar for courageous drinkers. Xmas trees were in the High Street and Broad Street.

A temporarily fun park for kids  including a toy car roundabout was set up in the car park in Cedar Road.

Lights were displayed outside most of the shops, cafes and restaurants in Broad Street and High Street and even the barbers donned Santa hats.

Many of the local retailers in Broad Street, Church Road and High Street have supported the festivities with donations as well as Richmond Council.

And in a Teddington Town World Exclusive Santa himself was spotted as he began to make himself at home in his Grotto in the car park of the King’s Head pub in the High Street.

Many of the shops were opening until mid evening and offering customers a glass of champagne and last minute work was continuing to meet the 5pm deadline for the exciting reopening of Builders Arms pub in Field Lane.
