ANOTHER TEDDINGTON HIGH STREET SHOP BITES THE DUST
Another shop in Teddington’s High Street has closed down, it was confirmed today.
Charcoal was an independent homewares and ceramics shop stocking unusual and beautiful well-crafted pieces from smaller companies and individual makers in the UK and further afield.
Many of their items were fair trade and you could find something for every room of the house from fairtrade glassware from Syria to organic bath salts made in Dorset.
The shop itself which is on two levels is completely empty and all the signage has been removed, leaving a plain black frontage.
Charcoal is moving to 55 Park Road, Crouch End, N8.
In a short note posted on social media the shop owners said: “The sale table continues to get restocked! It’s been wonderful having such lovely customers. Thank you for supporting us in Teddington and we hope to see you there!”
The former site of the the HSBC bank remains an eyesore at the corner of Cedar Road and the High Street while the former Ladbrokes betting shop will be reopening as a dog grooming and accessory shop and the well-known local butchers in Waldegrave Road, Teddington is closing today (sat)
