HAMPTON COURT PALACE XMAS TREE IS UNDER THE WEATHER

The Christmas tree in the Hampton Court Palace ice rink was suffering from a Storm Darragh hangover today.
The 6ft tip of the tree in front of the Royal Palace was bent horizontal by the strength of the winds sweeping across the rink and the nearby River Thames
The giant tree, which stands in the middle of the ice rink, appears to be making a respectful bow to the front of the historic Royal Palace, which was the home of Henry V111.
Today the Palace grounds and the ice rink were closed. Repair work was expected to start later today to allow the ice rink to open in time for tomorrow.
Both Bushy Park and Richmond Park reopened today but the playground and the Woodland Gardens in Bushy Park will remain closed. The cafes are open.
