RICHMOND BOROUGH IS ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR LOCATIONS FOR TV AND MOVIE FILMING
The Borough of Richmond is now one of the hottest locations for TV and movie-making in the UK following the global success of the series TED LASSO on Apple TV+
Two new series are the latest to use locations in the area including Black Doves on Netflix and starring Keira Knightley, Ben Whishaw and Sarah Lancashire who lives locally, which was partly filmed at the Quality Fish Shop in King Street and can be spotted clearly at the beginning of Episode Three.
It has also emerged that the second series of Rogue Heroes, which was watched by 9.4m viewers first time around was partly filmed at the headquarters of Richmond Council at York House in Twickenham. The series will air on BBC in January next year.
The council has its own dedicated team to deal with filming requests which will assist production teams in getting permissions and access to film in certain areas of the Borough.
Local retailers and residents are always consulted about filming dates, times as well as parking requirements and Richmond itself has attracted a massive tourist industry on the back of Ted Lasso and its merchandise store in Paved Court.
