Richmond-based film star Tom Hardy pulled a few crackers with his father Chips to capture the Christmas mood and promote the perfume and scent brand, Jo Malone.
The pair, wearing Christmas cardigans and hats, read the cringing jokes to each other which included Chips asking his son: “Have you heard about the restaurant on the Moon?”
No, says Tom. Chips answers: “Great food, but no atmosphere.”
Other seasonal gems included: “Why should you never trust stairs?” Answer: “Because they’re always up to something!”
And “Why do birds fly south in the winter? ” Answer: “Because it’s too far to walk.”
Hardy, who has been tipped as a future James Bond, hit the headlines last week when he generously stepped into pay the crew on his new show FIXER their Christmas wages of about £250.000
after the production company went bust.
