FIRST PUBLIC CONSULTATIONS OVER NEW TEDDINGTON BUSINESS PARK

The new owners and developers of the new business park next to the NPL in Teddington will launch two exhibitions showing the proposed site next month, Teddington Town has learned.
They will be held at Bushy Park Sports Club on Tuesday 11 February between 4pm and 8pm and Thursday 13 February at the same time.
A spokesperson said: “We will be holding two public exhibitions next month where local residents can view proposals for the site, speak to members of the project team and ask any questions that you have.
“We will shortly be writing to the local community to inform them of our plans and invite them to attend the public exhibitions.”
The letter to local residents says:
Dear Neighbour
I am writing to you on behalf of Graftongate and Royal London Asset Management who have recently acquired the LGC site, just off Queens Road, and have ambitions to sensitively transform this soon to be vacant site into a best-in-class, sustainable multi-let development.
With the decision taken by LGC to relocate, we view this as an opportunity to deliver modern and sustainable space which will positively benefit the local economy and provide new job opportunities.
Situated within a designated employment area in the borough, the provision of this new space across a variety of unit sizes would help meet demand from small and medium-sized businesses.
By closely replicating the existing built form and footprint of the current buildings as well as enhancing much of the existing landscaping, we will be undertaking the development in a way which respects existing neighbours and key local assets.
As one of our closest neighbours, we wanted to let you know that we will be hosting public drop-in exhibitions at the Bushy Park Sports Club pavilion, Pavilion Road, Queen’s Road, Teddington, TW11 0EL, where you can view the proposals and speak to the project team. These will take place on the following dates:
- Tuesday 11 February, 4pm – 8pm
- Thursday 13 February, 4pm – 8pm
I hope that you are able to attend our events. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch by emailing QueensRoadTW11@thisislca.com
Kind regards
Paul Hanley
Development Director
Graftongate
The eight acre site has been the home of the Laboratory Government Chemist employing over 1000 people since 1989 but is now relocating.
The existing six buildings which serve as laboratories will be demolished after planning permission is granted by Richmond Borough Council.
Royal London Asset Management and their partners Graftongate consider the site – which borders Coleshill Road, Queens Road and Admiralty Way – as perfect for up to sixteen units of small and medium businesses in an ‘affluent’ part of south west London.
