PROLIFIC SHOPLIFTER BANNED FROM THE BOROUGH FOR OFFENCES IN TEDDINGTON

A prolific shoplifter has been convicted in relation to thefts of alcohol from shops in Teddington in November last year and fined £800, police disclosed today.

Adam Edah-Tally, of no fixed abode, was convicted at South West London magistrates court in relation to the thefts of alcohol.

In addition to the fine, officers applied and were granted a post conviction Criminal Behaviour Order with a number of conditions, the most relevant being that he is now banned from Richmond Borough for 2 years from 30/01/24 meaning he is at risk of arrest if this order is breached.

Many local retailers have expressed their concern with the police about the increasing levels of shoplifting in Broad Street and High Street in Teddington.
