NEW HUMANITARIAN MISSION TO UKRAINE FROM TEDDINGTON

The latest humanitarian convoy of aid from Teddington is on its way to Ukraine today carrying urgent medical supplies to the frontline.
The convoy – the eleventh from Teddington – includes two converted ambulances, two pick-up trucks and a refrigerated Iceland Home delivery van.
The Iceland van was personally donated by the company’s boss Richard Walker who learned of the work by Mighty Convoy to support both troops and civilians in Ukraine.
The latest convoy is carrying two incubators as well as other medical supplies donated by the Royal London Hospital and the Chelsea and Westminster.
Five of the volunteer drivers are members of Teddington tennis club.
Organiser Simon Brake has led the fund raising efforts to purchase second hand vehicles which are driven by local volunteers to Lviv and left there to be deployed by local military chiefs and charity officials.
