RIVERSIDE CAFE FLYING CLOUD BACK IN ACTION
The stunning riverside cafe The Flying Cloud with unrivalled views overlooking the Thames in Ferry Road is ready for take off this month.
The popular cafe opposite the Anglers pub and next to the Boat Shop is a big favourite with cyclists and dog walkers and reopens on Saturday March 15.
The Flying Cloud became internationally famous when a stranded minke whale got stuck in the undergrowth nearby and crowds flocked to get a view.
Offering a wide range of coffee and home made cakes such as lemon drizzle and Victoria sponge and chocolate cakes the cafe will be hoping for a bumper season now the footbridge works are complete.
On the other side of the river near Teddington Lock a new mobile coffee shop called The Stop is doing well with plenty of support from towpath ramblers and early birds eager for a bacon sarnie.
