TEN UPLIFTING VIEWS OF TEDDINGTON ON A SUNNY SUNDAY

Teddington Lock makes a perfect picture today
Bright sunshine makes the moored boats gleam
Woodland Gardens packed with families
Teddington footbridge makes picturesque centrepiece
Charity runners fill towpath as queues await coffee at The Stop coffee mobile
Downriver behind the new development next to the Lensbury
Bridge strollers stopped to take snaps of the lock
Three rowers thrash their way through tranquil waters
Single file only as hundreds ventured down to the river

Sixteen degrees and sunny and the Teddington ‘riviera’ was flooded with charity runners, dog walkers, cyclists, Sunday morning strollers and coffee queues.

The new mobile coffee outlet called The Stop near Teddington Lock had a long queue and the owner joked: “We need a bigger truck.”

Charity runners almost collided with each other as organised runs were taking place in opposite directions on the towpath and had to weave in between cyclists and dog walkers.

As well the riverside being busy, The Pheasantry cage in Bushy Park was packed and there was no space in the car park as families took advantage of the sunny weather for picnics in the Woodland Gardens
