OUT OF SERVICE -TEDDINGTON STATION LIFTS
The new lifts at Teddington railway station, which only opened last Friday, were both OUT OF SERVICE today, Teddington Town has learned.
Both lifts from Platform One and Platform Two up to the footbridge on Station Road and Victoria Road were not working this morning and displayed clear signs that they were out of service.
Teddington Town has contacted Network Rail for a response and explanation. Two maintenance men could be seen working at the station.
On Friday the company said the lifts were undergo a month’s trial before a formal opening with local dignatories involved in the project being invited.
The project started in September 2023 and has been subjected to various delays.
