TED’S MARKET MOVES TO TWICE A MONTH
Ted’s Market in the car park of the King’s Head pub in Teddington will take place TWICE a month from April, Teddington Town learned today.
The next market will take place on Saturday March 29 but from April the market will operate every second and fourth Saturday of the month, starting on April 12.
The market, which launched back in October, has been so successful for both the community and the wide range of traders, that owner Jack Pass has got permission to run the market twice a month.
About 2000 people visit the market on Saturday mornings between 9am and 2pm and new traders have been introduced offering coffee, Indian dishes, honey and exotic homemade soups as well the bakery, the cheese, fresh fruit and vegetables and the meat stall.
Jack told Teddington Town: “We are so grateful for the local community showing so much support for the new concept of a market in Teddington.
“We were always confident Teddington could sustain such a market but the response and level of support has been overwhelming and given us the confidence to move to twice a month.
”I basically polled the traders and the customers and got a very positive response and a twice monthly market.”
