POLICE PROBE ASSAULT ON BUSHY PARK RANGER
An off-duty volunteer Bushy Park ranger was the victim of an assault by balaclava-clad youngsters on e-bikes, the police revealed today.
The unnamed male ranger challenged a couple of youngsters on e-bikes for cycling too fast in the park, possibly as fast as 30mph.
The off-duty ranger urged them to slow down but they ignored his appeals and returned to confront the ranger and assault him.
Police say the injuries suffered by the ranger amount to ‘common assault.’
News of the shocking incident comes in the week the Metropolitan Police confirmed that the Royal Psrks police was being totally scrapped.
According to the police the only description available is that both attackers were wearing balaclavas and all black clothing.
The police said;” The off duty ranger asked them to slow down as they were going 30mph (in his opinion, so could be slower).”
