Members of a church choir looked up and gasped in shock and clasped their hands to their mouth as a squirrel crash-landed on the choir stalls during a Good Friday service.
The loud thud of the squirrel landing on the music sheets of one the choristers failed to interrupt the choir at All Saints Church, Kingston.
The service was being screened live and those who had tuned into were puzzled by the loud noise as the squirrel could not easily be seen.
The two male choristers jumped in surprise as the squirrel landed bang in the middle of their music folder.
“We had a surprise squirrel encounter during the Good Friday Service at All Saints, Kingston,” said a spokesperson. “Credit to the ever professional choir who didn’t skip a beat even when it is raining small rodents!”
“Nothing detracts from the singing of the Good Friday Liturgy at All Saints, not even dive bombing squirrels.
“We are advised that the squirrel was seen later on in the service running between the choir stalls unharmed.”
“The squirrel was obviously so taken by our choirs amazing music that it lost concentration for a moment,” they added. “Please do visit soon to hear them sing.”

Organist Anna Lapwood, a former choir director who was the youngest person to hold the position of Director of Music at an Oxbridge university college, shared the video to her Instagram Stories, saying: “I have honestly been laughing at it for the last 12 hours”.
