ROCK BAND FRONTED BY TEDDINGTON MUSICIAN RAISES FUNDS FOR WAR CHILD
Rock band UNDICI fronted by local resident and former Teddington School student, Charlie Griffith, is raising vital funds for the charity, War Child UK.
Working with London music promoters, Hot Vox and theirRISING platform, which showcases the very best in new music, the band have contributed an exclusive live-streamed performance of covers and powerful original songs, to view on RISING in support of their fund-raising efforts.
Charlie Griffith said: “It’s a privilege to be part of this campaign and to get behind War Child as they strive to help children in conflict zones.
“RISING has already raised over £340,000 through gigs, showcases and live-streamed performances, and it’s a great example of the music industry pulling together to support such an important cause.”
Thanks to the huge support received from their friends, family and growing fan base, the band – who met at the world-famous BRIT School in south London – have already exceeded their original fund-raising target of £800, with donations standing at almost £1,500.
“As a band, we’re all blown away by everyone’s generosity so far.
“Our campaign is open for two more weeks so we’re hoping we can raise even more to help with War Child’s work”, said Charlie.
In addition to supporting this important cause, the top 20 artists that raise the most money for War Child UK will have the opportunity to present their music to an expert panel of music industry professionals.
