TEDDINGTON’S MIGHTY CONVOY SET TO DELIVER 99th VEHICLE TO UKRAINE FRONTLINE
The Teddington-based humanitarian mission Mighty Convoy is setting off this week to deliver its 99th vehicle to war-torn Ukraine on its 23rd trip to the country.
The cargo aboard the three ambulances and two pick-up vehicles includes the usual vital medical supplies but also has books, bikes, and home-knitted teddies made by Jaz in Teddington.
As well as boxes of vital medical supplies including a blood transfusion unit, much-needed clothing items including children’s wear and bedding and tents are on their way to Lviv.
A team of twelve drivers, who have helped raise funds to purchase the vehicles, will share the driving for the 1200 mile journey which can take up to 22 hours.
