RICHMOND PARK VOTED BEST SPRING WALK

Richmond Park has been named as Britain’s best spring walk for 2026, it has been announced.
The list, created by footwear brand Fitflop named the Park as best spring walk to take over the bank holiday weekends, followed by Hampstead Heath in north London.
Each walk was given a “Spring Walk Score” out of 100, with Richmond Park awarded 77.21 out of 100.
The 2,500 acres, Richmond Park is the largest of London’s royal parks and is home to herds of free‑roaming red and fallow deer and new born fawns at this time of year.
Each year between late April and early May, the 40‑acre woodland garden transforms into a vibrant spectrum of colour, with azaleas and rhododendrons drawing photographers in their droves.
The garden also features the National Plant Collection of Wilson 50 Kurume Azaleas, introduced from Japan in the 1920s by plant collector Ernest Wilson.
The park remain free to enter with free parking and attracts thousands of walkers, cyclists, dog walkers and runners every year.
