Official news of the long-awaited return came as a surprise today on the instagram account of British star and co-writer Brett Goldstein, who plays Roy Kent and is one of many British stars returning for the fourth series. The caption says: “Look out! We’re baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack….”
The trailer also features newcomer British comedian Tracey Ullman as well as Hannah Waddingham, who plays Rebecca Welton, Juno Temple, whom plays PR guru Keeley Jones, Jeremy Swift in his role as club secretary Leslie Higgins and pub landlady Mae Green, played by Annette Badland.

The new series also has a new storyline with Ted Lasso coaching a new AFC Richmond woman’s team and female footballers and coaches also appear in the short clip. Many of the players are British actresses.
A short teasing clip shows Hannah Waddingham who plays club owner Rebecca in a passionate kiss and rekindling her romance with the Dutch man she met on a canal boat in series three when fans had hoped she might strike up a relationship with Ted.
