LIB DEMS WIN EVERY SEAT ON RICHMOND COUNCIL
The Liberal Democrats made it a clean sweep in the local elections winning EVERY one of the 54 seats up for grabs on Richmond Council, it emerged early today.
The previous ‘opposition’ in the form of five seats held by the Green Party was wiped out and Labour and Conservative failed to win a single seat in the 50.77% turn out.
The Leader of the Council Cllr.Gareth Roberts retained his seat as did all the Teddington councillors.
The overwhelming triumph means the council is dominated by the Lib Dems for the twelfth year in a row.
