LOCAL SCHOOL RECALLS VISIT OF SIR DAVID ATTENBOROUGH
The local Hampton school Lady Eleanor Holles joined the rest of the world today in wishing Sir David Attenborough a happy 100th birthday.
They marked his big day by publishing a photograph of him in 1969 at the school’s prize giving. He was 43 and a parent at the school.
In a social media post LEH said: “As the world marks this extraordinary milestone, we are delighted to look back at this special moment from 1969, when Sir David Attenborough – then also an LEH parent – was a guest at our Prize Giving.
“For so many generations, he has inspired people to stay curious about the world around them and to care deeply about our planet.
“Happy 100th birthday, Sir David!”
