BUSHY PARK SWANS TAKE THEIR FIRST FAMILY OUTING
The newly-hatched cygnets were seen for the first time on a family outing at Heron Pond in Bushy Park today.
The six fluffy cygnets are excellent swimmers almost immediately but often hitch a ride on their mother’s back to rest and stay safe.
Photographers and regular visitors said all the eggs had hatched overnight.
The parent swans will have their work cut out keeping their increased family safe from predators in the park like herons, crows and foxes.
