TEDDINGTON BRIDGE JUMPERS RISK SERIOUS INJURY

Teenagers risked serious injury by jumping from the Teddington footbridges into the river today despite warning signs.
At one stage a tourist boat was forced to sound its horn to alert jumpers who were preparing to leap off the bridge.
The area was packed with teenagers making the most of the half term, partying in the beach area until early evening and urging each other to dive from the bridge.
Temperatures peaked at 34 degrees but are expected to cool in the next 24 hours.
