Thousands of people lined the river today to cheer on the traditional Teddington Duck Race which raises money for the Christmas Teddington Lights Up campaign.
This year’s ‘eggs-travaganza’ included Best Dressed Duck and Best Business duck and received massive support from the local community which also provided scores of prizes and the RNLI.
All the ducks were sponsored from £3.50 for a single duck to five ducks for £15 and there was a prize draw at the end of the races.
Over 3,000 ducks took part with 38 prize winners. The Mayor opened proceedings and Lib Dem leader Ed Davey MP announced prizes and winners.
