TEDDINGTON’S LION PUB STAYS OPEN FOR THE THREE LIONS

Teddington’s community pub The Lion which has become The Lions and changed its sign for the World Cup will REOPEN in the early hours for England’s knockout match against Mexico in the at 1am tomorrow morning (mon)
The pub owners consulted the community and those closest residents living to the pub in Wick Road before making their decision and numbers are capped at fifty.
The pub will close at the normal time and then those who have booked in and paid a £10 deposit can return in time for the big kick-off at 1am tomorrow morning.
No walk-ins and no late bookings.
Strict rules about no smoking in the street and all doors shut during the match have been imposed and all attendees have to sign in and promise to leave quietly whatever the result!
The match could finish as late as 3.30am or 3.45am if it is extended to extra time and penalties but the pub will close on the final whistle leaving no time to drown sorrows or celebrate.
The fifty loyal fans will be provided with half time snacks and numerous ‘hydration breaks’ will be available!
