The Beach Gallery at 197 at Waldegrave Road in Teddington is hosting a ‘Retrospective’ exhibition of the works of Colin Stout.
Owner Mark Vellacott says ‘all are warmly invited to the Private View commencing at 6.30pm Thursday 16 July.’
The ‘Colin Stout Retrospective ‘ can be seen until 30 August.
Originally from Stronsay in Orkney, Colin joined Haymarket Media Group in 1990, and in 1993 was assigned to three B2B magazines: XYZ, Newspaper Focus, and Print Week.
Then into the role of staff photographer for the Haymarket Media in-house magazine ‘Campaign’.
Alongside Colin’s love for photography and film, he has a deep passion for great print design—so being tasked with capturing the UK media industry’s top executives like Sir Alan Sugar and creative minds of the day was a dream come true.
‘Campaign’ is a weekly magazine, which meant a relentless, thrilling sprint from one agency to the next, often involving Colin in over twenty shoots a week.
‘Retrospective’ encapsulates the iconic images of the media and creative titans, that Colin captured during his time as the Haymarket Media ‘Campaign’ magazine Staff Photographer.
Since retiring from ‘Campaign’ and Haymarket Media Group, Colin has traded fast-paced boardrooms for the pavement and spends his time on the streets of London, documenting its vibrant, multicultural society and telling the stories of the diverse communities that call this city home – the very people who make it the city he came to love during his time with Haymarket.
“Fine wine and nibbles will be provided at the private view. For lovers of portrait photography an event not to be missed,” said gallery owner Mark.
