DON’T MISS 60’s and 70’s TRIBUTE BAND AT ST JAMES’S CHURCH

 

FIRE AND RAIN & AMERICAN PIE is a wonderful, musical tribute to the great U.S. singer-songwriters of the late 60s and early 70s, featuring many beautiful, timeless songs from James Taylor, Carole King, Simon & Garfunkel, Joni Mitchell, Don Mclean, Crosby, Stills, Nash, Bread, The Byrds, America, Carly Simon and more.

The show, at St James’s Church, Hampton Hill on Friday, September 11, also contains a fascinating nostalgic narrative and images reflecting the vibe of a golden era.

These songs will be brought to life by a band of top musicians fronted by Paul Prem Nadama.

Paul is perhaps better known in the world of TV comedy as Paul Wheeler, Director of award-winning TV shows such as ‘Live at the Apollo’ and ‘Have I got News for You’. So with ‘Fire and Rain & American Pie’ it could be said he is bringing us ‘Have I got Tunes for you!’ to a live stage show where Paul pays homage to many of his teenage musical idols.

This intimate show will bring you classic songs from this time when Folk became Pop! Including ‘You’ve got a Friend’, ‘You make me feel like a natural woman’, ‘American Pie’, ‘Fire and Rain’, ‘Big Yellow Taxi’, ‘River’, ‘Starry Starry Night’, ‘Horse with no Name’, ‘Mrs Robinson’, ‘Make it with you’, ‘Feelin’ Groovy’, ‘California Dreaming’, ‘You’re So Vain’, ‘Woodstock’ and many more!

The show has a relaxed acoustic style, matching the spirit of this era, when many of these artists were neighbours in the Laurel Canyon suburb of L.A.
