POLICE SEIZE MOPED NEAR RICHMOND GREEN
Police revealed today they had seized a moped today on Richmond Green after it was found to be ridden without a valid driving licence or insurance policy.
The seizure comes as part of a significant initiative by the Met Police to identify illegal riders where e-bikes have been ‘modified’ to break speed limits.
The police said:”What first drew our attention to the rider was the decision to use the pavement as part of their route, something that is not only unsafe for pedestrians but also against the law.
“The moped was seized and the rider was dealt with accordingly.”
