Update: THE RIFLEMAN, TWICKENHAM, IS ON TARGET FOR REOPENING……
UPDATE ON THE CAMPAIGN TO SAVE THE RIFLEMAN PUB IN TWICKENHAM BY BOB HEAP
Hi,
Just a quick update on the latest news from the Rifleman.
It now looks likely that a new tenant/manager will be taking on the lease imminently, although we understand the final paperwork is still being completed.
As we understand it, the plan is for the pub to close temporarily from 12th October for a few weeks while some redecoration, repairs and other work are carried out, before reopening under the new tenancy.
We’ll share more details with you as and when we get them.
Steve and the current team’s last day we think will be 11th October, so it would be great to see plenty of familiar faces over the next week or so to thank them for everything they’ve done at the Rifleman and wish them well for the future.
The really good news for our community is that the Rifleman is set to stay open as a pub, which has always been the main goal of the Rescue Group.
We’ll do our best to keep everyone updated as the new arrangements become clearer.
Thanks again for all your continued support.
