MIGHTY CONVOY WILL RAISE FUNDS AT TEDDINGTON LIGHTS UP

Mighty Convoy, the not-for-profit organisation based locally, which has been providing aid to Ukraine during the war with TWENTY SEVEN trips to the country, will step up its fundraising efforts with a stand at this year’s Teddington Lights Up event on Thursday, November 26, we can exclusively reveal.
Organiser, Simon Brake, said: “I’m so excited to be very kindly offered a free stand at Teddington Lights Up by Mel Franke of Teddington Together.
“More people are realising that Mighty Convoy is based here, and we are getting more locals volunteering to drive, to donate aid and funds.
“Our visible presence at such a fun and cherished Teddington event will really boost awareness of what we do.
“I firmly believe most Britons still support Ukraine, and Mighty Convoy provides a way for people to help directly.
“We will have lots of our volunteer drivers around so please come along, say hello, and maybe get involved.”
The latest convoy, consisting of four pick up trucks and an ambulance, is led by eleven drivers, representing France, the UK, Ireland and Germany.
They set off from their Mighty Convoy HQ in Cambridge Road, Teddington, yesterday heading for Lviv just beyond the Poland and Ukraine border.
Their latest humanitarian mission means 116 vehicles have been purchased through fundraising and delivered to Ukraine where they have been deployed to support civilians in the worst-hits areas or the frontline to support soldiers.

The latest convoy is carrying significant supplies of clothing aid in conjunction with the charity Goods for Good (https://goodsforgood.org.uk/home) medical supplies from various sources and two bags of knitted tops for babies and knitted teddies, provided by Jas, who lives in Teddington.
