BURGLAR GOT AWAY WITH OVER £2000 WORTH OF VINTAGE JEWELLERY
PHOTO NEWS:

The distraught owner of the Teddington vintage jewellers Ninth Ruby, which was burgled at the weekend, told today how she feared the incident could impact her ‘busiest’ time of the year.
She had just spent £2000 on the new frontage of the shop in Park Road, Teddington, and today as she continued to sweep up the shattered glass from the floor, she told Teddington Town that the stolen items, which included sterling silver and gold accessories, were worth well over £2000.
She said the burglar ‘threw a heavy rock’ at the window at least three times in order to smash the main pane of glass. Police forensic teams were at the scene early today checking for fingerprints.
The business owner, who asked not to be named, said the suspected burglar was found by police ‘hiding in a bin’ around the corner before he was arrested and taken into custody.
She added: “As you can imagine this is my busiest time of the year and I wanted the new signage and and the frontage looking at its best for the pre-Christmas period and I would really appreciate any support from the community, please just drop by as I am sure we will have something which takes your fancy.”
Police say a man has been arrested and is in custody.
