BUSHY PARK TO REOPEN AT 9am TODAY
The Royal Parks has issued an updated bulletin on the opening of parks today (sun) following the closures yesterday, caused by Storm Amy.
Bright blue skies over Teddington signalled the calming of the windy spell and Bushy Park is due to reopen at 9am today and Richmond opened at 8am following early safety checks.
The full statement said: “Due to severe wind gusts caused by Storm Amy, all the Royal Parks, Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens will be subject to a delayed reopening on Sunday 5 October.
“Please refer to the below list and social media channels for specific details of re-opening:
- Brompton Cemetery will be fully open from 8.30am
- Bushy Park will be fully open from 9am
- Greenwich Park will be fully open from 8.30am
- Kensington Gardens will be fully open from 9am
- Richmond Park will be fully open from 8am
“The safety of visitors and staff is our top priority.
“We’re sorry for any inconvenience that these closures and delayed opening may cause.”
