RED ROSES WORLD CUP IS VIP GUEST AT SPORTEDD IN TEDDINGTON

The 2025 World Cup won by the amazing Red Roses was the guest of honour at the latest SporTedd fundraiser with the triumphant coach John Mitchell.
John was joined by three trailblazers of women’s rugby Sue Dorrington, who played for England and Richmond, Debbie Griffin OBE now RFU President and founding member of the Women’s Rugby Football Union (WRFU) and 2014 World Cup winner Charlie Bronks, a big supporter of SporTedd.
Former England and British Lion Brian Moore (64 England caps and 5 British Lion caps) who has been a champion of women’s rugby and regular commentator, also joined the discussion panel. He won 64 caps for England and 5 for the British Lions.
Sixty nine guests enjoyed a three course meal at the Wharf restaurant and a Q and A with the panel, discussing the fast track growth and popularity of women’s rugby and coach Mitchell shared some of his coaching tactics which centred on the ‘courage’ of the squad and their ‘bond.’
The raffle included tickets for England’s match against Argentina on Sunday, red cowboy hats – made famous by the celebrations of Red Roses fans – tins of Red Roses chocolates and tickets for Harlequins Big Game at Twickenham on December 20.
