Breaking: RICHMOND BRIDGE CLOSED
Richmond Bridge is currently closed due to an ongoing police road traffic investigation.
The closure is expected to remain in place throughout the morning.
Traffic is very busy in Richmond and St Margarets as a result.
The police say: “Please plan ahead and consider alternative routes or travel options where possible.”
A spokesperson said: “Police were called to Richmond Road, Twickenham at 02:33hrs on Thursday, 16 April following a collision involving one car.
“Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and the driver of the car, a man in his 30s was taken to hospital where he remains. We await an update on his condition.
“The road, including Richmond Bridge remains closed while enquiries are ongoing.”
