KEW GARDENS RECORDS HIGHEST TEMPERATURE OF 38.1 DEGREES!
The UK has experienced its hottest day of the year and fifth hottest day on record, as a heatwave that gripped much of the country peaked at 38.1C on Thursday, according to the Met Office.
Kew Gardens recorded England’s top temperature, provisionally overtaking the 38C recorded in Lingwood, Norfolk on 26 June.
Temperatures of around 33 degrees were recorded in Teddington and Bushy Park with another scorching day forecast for tomorrow.
