Haymarket Media Group was founded in 1957 by Michael Heseltine, who returned to the company in 1997 after a career in politics.

The company was orginally called Cornmarket Press and changed its name to Haymarket in 1964. Its first magazine was the critically acclaimed Man About Town.

The Teddington office is home to approximately 1000 employees. Haymarket has offices in five other countries: Germany, India, Australia, China (Hong Kong) and the United States. Many of their titles are licenced around the world – having more than 127 licenses in 29 languages worldwide.
