We’re a ridiculously friendly local comedy club showcasing the best of hand-picked new talent from the circuit as well as welcoming famous faces from the telly who drop in regularly to try new stuff. We’re on once a month on a Friday (more or less) and always have at least half a dozen acts on the bill. Previous acts: Milton Jones, Lucy Porter, Hal Cruttenden, Josh Widdicombe, Sara Pascoe, Luisa Omielan, , Rachel Parris, Sy Thomas & Stephen Bailey plus our favourite new acts Mr Susie, David Mills, Laurence Owen, Lindsay Sharman & Tom Ward. We love a bit of musical comedy and pride ourselves on our mixed bills (we strive for a 50-50 male-female ratio and a mix of stand-up and more alternative sets). Our resident MC is BBC Radio 4’s Viv Groskop (Saturday Live, Loose Ends): “Very funny” — Omid Djalili.
Let the Dead Parrot surprise and delight you!

We have a wicked night of stand-up comedy for you on Friday 3rd of June starring.

HJALMAR TJAN
His name is not a joke.
In a style that blends a laconic wit with observations about a life spent mixed-up, mixed-race and possessed of a name not even some of his own family can pronounce, the Tjan is mighty!

“A mystery wrapped in a cloud of what appears to be jazz, whiskey, and funny. I’m there!”- Sadaf Fahim.

PAUL F TAYLOR
The award winning Paul F Taylor is a one of the UK’s most original and distinctive stand-up performers. His unique brand of humour fuses quirky offbeat one liners with surreal and observational flights of fancy to fantastical effect.

“Beautifully silly and odd gags, told with frenetic energy that’s sometimes hard to keep up with… His approach is reminiscent of Harry Hill or Steve Martin in his funny years, although Taylor exceeds them both in frenzied delivery… An act where there can either be twelve jokes in a minute, or where one joke can go on to incomprehensible length.” ShortCom ★★★★

“Paul F Taylor is going to rear a cult following of those with refined senses of humour & you should join us.” – THREE WEEKS

“Talks about everyday observations but with a wonderful edge of surrealism” – CHORTLE

“Wickedly funny and astute observational comedy” – GQ MAGAZINE.

CHRISTIAN TALBOT
Christian Talbot is a stand-up comedian from Dublin, based in Northern Ireland. In 2012 he was one of the finalists in Amnesty International’s Secret Policeman’s Ball “World’s Shortest Gig” ( He lost out to a magician called Piff in an ill-fitting green dragon suit).

“An absolutely engaging performer. The women next to me nearly dislocated something, so much was she laughing. Can’t say fairer than that.” – THE SCOTSMAN

“Talbot may call himself ‘Shite at Being Irish’ but when it comes to putting together a good show, well, he’s great at that.” – ★★★★ BROADWAY BABY.

SARAH KEYWORTH
Originally from Nottingham, Sarah Keyworth is fast-becoming a regular on the
London circuit and has recently supported Stewart Francis on tour.
Her material is a mix of honest anecdotal storytelling about her Midlands upbringing, made
surreal with the occasional addition of a silly observation. She delivers sharp
lines with a cheeky smile and moments of sudden deadpan that leave the
audience wanting more.
“Charming” – THE INDEPENDENT

“Pulling in the biggest laughs” – THREE WEEKS

“Excellently deadpan” – HUFFINGTON POST

SAM DEARDS
Sam Deards is from West London and has been doing comedy since October 2012.

“Bloody funny and very charming – highly recommended”- MARK DOLAN C4 BALLS OF STEEL.

STELLA GRAHAM
Stella Graham is a naturally funny stand-up comedian and writer, with great gags and killer banter. Charming, and unladylike, all punchlines connect with a resounding thud.

“If you’re a TV executive, drop what you’re doing and go see her now” – THE SKINNY

“Fun and original… everything a good comedian should be: self-assured, likeable and, crucially, funny” – BROADWAY BABY.

SAM MITCHELL
Exciting newcomer Sam Mitchell join our bill on 3rd June.
“Likeable, fluid, funny’ – THE JAUNTY LARK
Writer for BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Newsjack and BBC New Comedy Award 2015 Qualifier.
