Police were alerted in Teddington after an attempted break-in at an apartment.
On arrival, the suspect made off on a push bike according to the Metropolitan Police.
After dodging two police officers the suspect rode towards one of the local police’s newer recruits from Response C Team, who faced down the suspect and and managed to stop him in his tracks causing him drop his bolt cutters.
The suspect was detained and arrested for burglary.
