UPDATE: MAN, 24, ARRESTED FOR GBH IN TEDDINGTON PUB ATTACK RELEASED ON BAIL
A 24 year old man who walked into a police station in connection with the incident at the Castlebar Pub in Teddington has been released on bail, pending further enquiries, it was learned today.
Police were called at around 00:40hrs on Monday 15 July to High Street, Teddington, to reports of an assault.
Officers attended the scene and found a man suffering from facial injuries. He was taken to hospital with injuries deemed not believed to be life-threatening.
It is understood the man was assaulted by another person at the pub where he was socialising.
Police said this afternoon: “At 22:40hrs on Tuesday, 16 July a 24-year-old man self-presented at a south west London police station.
”He was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. He remains in custody.”
An investigation is being led by South West area CID officers and enquiries are ongoing.
