LOOK WHO’S BACK IN TOWN…….
A familiar figure in the world of international rugby was wrapped up warm against the bitter cold in Teddington today.
The former controversial England coach Eddie Jones, who was sacked by the RFU, is now the coach of Japan, who face England at Twickenham on Sunday at Twickenham.
The fixture is the last opportunity for England to record a single victory in the four game Autumn Internationals.
Eddie, who also coached Australia, was leading the training sessions at The Lensbury in Teddington today following recent stays by the All Blacks, Australia and South Africa who all narrowly beat England.
The match on Sunday will reunite current England coach Steve Borthwick with Eddie as he worked under Jones as assistant coach of Japan before joining him as forwards coach with England for five years.
Eddie made the most of his reunion with south west London and enjoyed dinner at the King’s Head in High Street, Teddington, during his short visit.
His training methods were strongly criticised by former England scrum half Danny Care in his recently published autobiography ‘Everything Happens for a Reason’ in which he said players were ‘bloody terrified’ of him.
