POLICE CLOSE DOWN LOCAL TEDDINGTON DRUGS DEN
Police have been given a ‘full closure order’ on a property at Tenters House, Little Queens Road in Teddington following complaints from local residents about drug-dealing, anti-social behaviour (ASB) and criminality, Teddington Town has learned.
The police say: “After gathering great local intelligence from our residents about drug dealing, ASB & criminality around Tenters House, Little Queens Road, Teddington, we have now served a court-ordered Full Closure Order on one of the properties there, which will deter criminals.
“In summary, the property was used for drugs, which also caused anti-social behaviour in the area. This had a huge impact on local residents, also looking at the vulnerability of the occupier. To this we obtained a full closure order on the property from the courts.”
A closure order is a legal order that prohibits access to a specific property, typically issued due to serious nuisance or disorder associated with the premises.
It’s a tool used by authorities like the police or local councils to quickly address problems like anti-social behaviour or criminal activity linked to a property. The order can be issued for a limited period, usually up to six months, and can prevent anyone, including the owner, from entering the premises.
No arrests have been made.
