IMMERSIVE LIGHT AND SOUND INSTALLATION FOR TEDDINGTON’S LANDMARK

The internationally acclaimed artists Luxmuralis will transform the Landmark Arts Centre into a spectacular immersive sound and light experience as a highlight of the centre’s events calendar in September.
Presented as the Landmark concludes its 30th anniversary celebrations and begins marking 130 years since the foundation stone of the historic building was laid, TIME transforms this much loved local landmark into a spectacular canvas for a journey through history, science and imagination.
As darkness falls, the Landmark’s soaring architecture becomes the canvas for a breathtaking exploration of humanity’s relationship with time, history, science and imagination.
TIME promises to be an extraordinary exploration of humanity’s relationship with the concept of time, offering audiences an unforgettable journey through history, science and imagination.
Visitors will journey through a series of captivating installations portraying humanity through different eras, exploring theories of relativity and the writings of H.G. Wells’ The Time Machine.
Through the immersive projected artworks attendees will traverse wormholes, venture inside the intricate workings of clocks, and experience a dramatic narrative that spans from the present day back to the very beginning of everything.
Spectators are taken on a mesmerising voyage through the epochs of humanity, ultimately reaching the formation of our planet, creating a profound and awe-inspiring conclusion to this unique event.
Luxmuralis is the artistic collaboration of sculptor Peter Walker and composer David Harper, internationally recognised for creating immersive fine art, light and sound installations in historic buildings and public spaces across the UK and beyond.
Their spectacular installations have transformed some of the world’s most iconic buildings and heritage sites, including St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London, Chatsworth House and numerous cathedrals, museums and historic landmarks.
Audiences become part of the artwork as they physically journey through monumental projections and atmospheric soundscapes that bring extraordinary spaces to life.
