Rainbow Retirement Day

We warmly invite the gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans and queer community to attend our Rainbow Retirement Day on Tuesday 1 July. This free event, organized by Age UK Richmond and hosted by the Landmark Arts Centre, will get older LGBTQ+ people planning for later life.

We are beyond proud to have secured Ted Brown and Clare Truscott, veteran campaigners for LGBTQ+ rights, to speak about choosing a queer friendly care home.  (You can watch an award-winning documentary about how Ted’s beloved life partner Noel was abused by homophobic care home staff, inspiring him to take on one final campaign in his seventies).

There are 4 talks in total covering lasting power of attorney, Wills, queer history and inclusive care homes. Other charities and organisations will be present with more information and advice, including the Alzheimer’s Society, Stonewall Housing and LBRUT Carer’s champions.
